Most Canadians support some limits on abortion. But most Canadians also don’t know that Canada has no legal limits. A child can be legally aborted in Canada for any reason, even after that child could survive outside the womb.
That’s why WNAL has sought to raise awareness that Canada has no abortion law and to advocate for several types of laws to regulate abortions.
One key law WNAL advocates for is an international standards law. Such a law would, among other things, set gestational limits on abortion in line with what nearly every country in the developed world has in place.
Pro-abortion politicians and activists typically respond to our advocacy by denying that abortion can be obtained for any reason at any stage of pregnancy, or by asserting that late-term abortions are extremely rare and only occur for significant health reasons.
New undercover videos recorded in Canadian abortion clinics show that these clinics will abort a child late in pregnancy with no medical justification required. WNAL thanks Right Now and the courageous women who obtained this footage.
While late-term abortions make up a small percentage of the total, Canada still aborts hundreds or even thousands of children late in pregnancy every year.
Getting accurate numbers is difficult, however, as private abortion clinics are not required to report the number of abortions they perform. The first clinic featured in Right Now’s video, asks women to pay up front, in cash.
